20 Jul Ways To Share Or Upload Your Video Onto Twitter
Twitter has 288 million monthly active users, and across the globe 500 million tweets are sent each day. The network is available on the web or as an app, but statistics show 80% of Twitter active users are on mobile devices.
Twitter is built around small ‘tweets’ of information, no more than 140 characters in size, and hashtags, which make searching and finding relevant topics easy.
You can tell your story on Twitter via text, pictures and now video. Before we get started on ways to share or upload your video onto Twitter, there are a few things to remember:
1 – Like other social media sites, it is easy to share from video sharing sites like Youtube on Twitter via pasting a link so your followers can stay up to date with your latest full length videos
2 – Twitter has set a 30 second limit on any ‘direct’ video upload
3 – Sharing direct video must be done via the app on a mobile device, not on a computer
Twitter’s video sharing feature lets you shoot and edit new content directly through the app. However, if you’d prefer to use an existing video, users are able to upload videos from their camera roll as well. Watch the video below to see how it’s done:
Ways To Share Or Upload Your Video Onto Twitter
Step 1 – Open the Twitter app on your mobile device
Step 2 – Click the icon in the very top right corner of the app to share ‘what’s happening’
Step 3 – Click the photo icon to browse your camera roll, and select the video you would like to share
Step 4 – The blue section shows the selection of the video you would like to share, you can make it shorter or longer (up to 30 seconds) and move to the part of the clip you would like to use
Step 5 – Click Trim or Done in the top right corner
Step 6 – You can now add a caption and hashtags (up to 140 characters),
Step 7 – Click TWEET to share it will your followers
TIP: If your video’s trapped on your computer, and you need to get it to your phone so you can share its amazingness with all of your followers. Heres how to get the video file to your phone if it is on your computer:
* Email the file to yourself, then open your mail app and download onto your phone
* Wireless SD card or flash drive that can connect your phone to your computer
* Use an app like Dropbox or Cloud to store videos online and download onto whatever device you’re using. If you’re an Apple user, you can also use iCloud to sync your files across computers and devices.
